Dean of the College of Engineering and Computing Sciences聽Babak D. Beheshti, Ph.D., was featured in聽Long Island Business News鈥檚聽annual 鈥溾�� special section. Beheshti鈥檚 profile showcases his role in launching the college鈥檚 two Ph.D. programs, forging partnerships with industry and government organizations, and establishing the cooperative (co-op) education track.

In keeping with the institution鈥檚 mission to provide career-oriented professional education and access to opportunities for all qualified students, our newly launched co-op offering provides another way for students to prepare for the job market while pursuing their undergraduate degrees,鈥� says Beheshti. 鈥淚n addition, our rigorous and intensive Ph.D. programs in computer science and engineering鈥攍aunched in 2019 and 2021, respectively鈥攁re training future scientists and tech leaders in cutting-edge research.
