MayFest 2023
Students, faculty, and staff enjoyed a fun-filled week from May 1 through 5 as they celebrated the end of the academic year at MayFest. This year’s festivities were hosted by the Office of Student Life in collaboration with various student organizations.
A long-standing ¶®É«µÛ tradition, MayFest kicked off Monday on the New York City campus with a day-long scavenger hunt for hidden paw prints and a karaoke night with everyone’s favorite songs. Other events students in the Big Apple participated in included two more scavenger hunts, indoor laser tag complete with inflatable obstacles, the Final Roar senior toast celebration, a show by comedic mentalist Eric Dittelman, the annual ROOTS fashion show with pieces made by ¶®É«µÛ students and a street fair with rides, snacks, activities, and more.
On Long Island, seniors also had their Final Roar celebration. And everyone in the community enjoyed the MayFest carnival, which featured games like jumbo checkers, Spikeball, and cornhole and attractions like rock climbing, inflatable rides, and a mechanical bull. Visitors indulged in ice cream, fried Oreos and boba, just to name a few, and enjoyed prize giveaways and a DJ playing today’s top tunes.
