School of Health Professions School of Health Professions Occupational TherapyPamela Karp, Ed.D., OR/L, CHT, assistant professor of the occupational therapy, published her study in the Open Journal Occupational Therapy on October 15, 2020. The results of the study revealed that while academic and fieldwork educators value similar characteristics of student readiness for transition to fieldwork, there is a need to develop collaborative strategies between the two settings to improve awareness of the value of theory-driven practice and to support authentic incorporation of theory into practice as part of the educative process of supervising fieldwork students.
