Dr. Eleanor Yusupov is a board-certified internist and obesity medicine specialist recognized for her leadership in preventive care and medical weight management. Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Obesity Medicine, she provides patient-centered primary care focused on cardiometabolic risk reduction, lifestyle intervention, and evidence-based obesity treatment at NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine healthcare centers in Old Westbury and Central Islip, New York.
Dr. Yusupov teaches across the preclinical and clinical curriculum, supporting students in the development of clinical reasoning, patient care, and professional growth. She serves as faculty advisor for the Student Osteopathic Internal Medicine Association (SOIMA) and mentors students pursuing careers in internal medicine. She is also a member of the National Faculty for the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners in the Department of Internal Medicine, Geriatric Medicine and Dermatology since 2019.
She earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree from NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine and a Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) from Stony Brook University. Prior to joining NYITCOM, she practiced hospital medicine in leading academic medical centers, with a focus on graduate medical education, acute inpatient care, and medical consultation.
