Student Outcomes
The individual student learning outcomes of the baccalaureate nursing program provide clear statements of expected student achievements, derived directly from the ¶®É«µÛ nursing model, accreditation, and professional standards of practice and reflect the school’s mission, core values, and expected student and program outcomes.
Upon graduation, the baccalaureate nursing student will:
- Integrate established and emerging knowledge from nursing, liberal arts, and social sciences to inform clinical judgment and foster innovative nursing practice.
- Provide person-centered care that is holistic, evidence-based, individualized, compassionate, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate.
- Analyze healthcare delivery systems across the continuum—from public health prevention to disease management—to promote equitable population health outcomes.
- Synthesize, apply, and disseminate nursing knowledge to advance practice and improve patient outcomes.
- Incorporate principles of quality improvement and safety to enhance nursing care, system performance, and individual accountability.
- Utilize effective communication strategies to optimize care delivery, enhance the patient experience, and improve health outcomes.
- Coordinate care and mobilize resources to ensure safe, high-quality, and equitable services that address the needs of diverse populations.
- Leverage information technology, informatics, and data processes to enhance the quality and safety of care across varied populations.
